They are upon us!

The Holidays! That fantastically magical time of the year when so many things seem to mean so much more than usual. Family, friends, traditions, and our relationship with that supernal Son of our Heavenly Father. I think for me, the "Spirit of Christmas" started pushing at the back of my mind even as we were putting up decorations for Halloween. I was ready to forego the spooky stuff and jump right into the real Holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. These, along with the occasional camping trip, are what I look forward to for the whole year. Hmmm......

Halloween, Come and Gone

It really came and went faster than I'd imagined it would. The kids had great time, especially since the Ward tunk-or-treat was last weekend so the fun was spread out for a while. We invited one of my staff from work to go with us and they had a good time. Nancy watches their son several times a month. They also came for dinner and trick-or-treating with us. Sam. their son, is the other boy in the pic.

Thanksgiving will be gone any minute and Su will be giving me grief about posting some Christmas pics. It really does seem like we just celebrated Christmas a month or two ago.

Updated pooch pics

I know these aren't the pics you may want to see, but I figured they would be better placed next to the first shots. Just over 5 months old.
Seriously, are you eyeballing my nice green ball?

Update on the dog thing.

The little boy comes home this weekend.
It's not too late to suggest names.

He is a Boston Terrier.

OK, it's been a while!

It never ceases to amaze me how often nothings seem to get in the way of doing some things.

So I'll attempt to update you with some photos. Besides these slices of life, we found a dog, fell in love with it and gave it back to it's owners. Bought a puppy, fell in love, and gave it back to the breeder after a vet visit brought bad news. And now, waiting for the newest BakoLee to be weened.

We're open to naming suggestions.

Welcome to our Blog.

I honestly didn't think I would ever give in to the fad. Of course, I never thought we'd get a puppy either. So, May marks the begining of new things for the Lee family here in Bakersfield.
